Saudi Arabian development and investment holding company, Vision Invest, has announced a landmark $700 million investment into ARISE Integrated Industrial Platforms (ARISE IIP), a pan-African developer of industrial zones. The capital injection marks Vision Invest’s entry into the developer’s shareholder base and signals a major strategic expansion into the African continent.

A Strategic First Foray Into Africa

This transaction represents Vision Invest’s first direct investment in Africa, aligning with a broader trend of increased capital flow from the Middle East into the continent’s growing economies. The investment targets sectors ripe for growth, including renewable energy, logistics, technology, and agriculture.

“This marks our first direct investment in Africa and a natural extension of our values and impact investment philosophy, which centres on the socio-economic development of the communities in which we invest,” said Mohammad A. Abunayyan, Chairman of Vision Invest.

Fueling Sustainable Industrialization

The $700 million in new capital will be used to accelerate ARISE IIP’s expansion across Africa. The core objective is to continue the development of green, inclusive, and sustainable industrial ecosystems that strengthen local value chains, boost exports, and create large-scale employment. ARISE IIP has already successfully developed industrial parks in several countries, including Gabon, Benin, and Togo, attracting manufacturing facilities for processing materials like wood, cotton, and cashews, alongside pharmaceuticals.
