Saudi’s WakeCap Expands to Latin America with Acquisition of Brazil’s Trackfy

4 Min Read

WakeCap, the Saudi-based sensor-powered project intelligence and controls platform, has announced its acquisition of Trackfy, a Brazilian workforce safety and operational solution for industrial companies. The move underscores the Saudi company’s commitment to expanding its global reach, diversifying its product capabilities, and establishing a new headquarters for Latin America in Brazil.

From Giga-Projects to Global Expansion

WakeCap’s expansion comes as global infrastructure investment surges, with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia alone investing nearly $1 trillion in construction and urban development under Vision 2030. Having proven its technology on the world’s most complex giga-projects, WakeCap is now scaling its solutions globally.

The acquisition of Trackfy provides an immediate and established footprint in Latin America. By adding Trackfy’s regional expertise, WakeCap aims to create a global standard for smart operations and industrial intelligence.

“WakeCap’s ability to capture and act on real-time jobsite data is critical for high-performing project controls, and this acquisition fuels our next stage of growth as we expand our global footprint,” said Dr. Hassan Albalawi, Co-Founder and CEO of WakeCap. “This is a strong cultural fit, and we are excited to welcome the Trackfy team to WakeCap.”

A Strategic Move into Industrial Operations

Beyond geographic expansion, the acquisition provides a significant product extension. WakeCap’s platform has traditionally focused on the construction or “build” phase of a project. By integrating Trackfy’s solution, WakeCap can now support clients long after construction is complete.

This move allows WakeCap to offer a single, connected solution covering the full lifecycle of a facility, from initial build-out to daily operations and maintenance.

“WakeCap’s mission has always been to solve the construction industry’s most urgent problems… while Trackfy has done the same across the operational core of industrial environments,” said Tulio Cerviño, CEO of Trackfy. “Joining forces enables us to scale our technology, expand into new regions, and serve customers across the full lifecycle of industrial projects.”

Combining Jobsite Intelligence

The acquisition combines WakeCap’s expertise in large-scale construction technology with Trackfy’s strength in industrial operations. WakeCap has tracked over 150 million labor hours across $120 billion in active projects for clients like Aramco, NEOM, and Qiddiya, delivering major gains in safety and productivity.

Trackfy brings a proven solution trusted by major industrial clients in steel, oil & gas, and agriculture. Its platform has reportedly increased team productivity by 67%, reduced emergency evacuation times by 50%, and cut internal worker travel time by 33%.
