Implementing Standardized Global Assessments
The Board of Trustees for the Sharjah Excellence Award has deployed evaluation teams comprising assessors sourced from across the UAE, selected for their specific industry expertise and professional competency. These teams are tasked with analyzing submissions and delivering structured feedback to the participating entities.
To maintain international benchmarks in institutional performance, innovation, and sustainability, the SCCI is utilizing an advanced fourth-generation global assessment framework. Assessors are currently executing the initial document review stage. Following this, the program will conduct on-site field visits to the participating organizations beginning in late March, with preliminary scores scheduled for completion in April 2026 before submission to the final judging panels.
Driving Institutional Quality Across the GCC
Held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, the initiative is positioned as a strategic driver for economic competitiveness within the region.
Nada Al Hajri, General Coordinator of the Sharjah Excellence Award, stated that the strong application volume from across the GCC reflects the award’s established role as a platform for corporate and operational merit.
“Sharjah Excellence Award continuously develops its operational framework and evaluation standards in line with global best practices,” Al Hajri noted. “This approach strengthens its role in encouraging institutions to adopt quality-driven management principles and leadership practices, while enhancing their institutional performance and competitiveness.”
Highlighting Regional SMEs and Founders
To capture different facets of business growth and social impact, the initiative divides its recognitions into eight distinct categories. These classifications are designed to highlight progress in areas ranging from startup operations to corporate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices.
The 2025 categories include the Sharjah Gulf Localisation Award, Sharjah Gulf Excellence Award, Sharjah Excellence Award, Sharjah Small and Medium Enterprises Award, Sharjah Entrepreneurs Award, Sharjah Social Responsibility Award, Sharjah Best Security Standards Award, and the Sharjah Entrepreneurs with Disability Award.
