The Equal Opportunities Unit of the South Sinai Governorate has launched a new training program focused on entrepreneurship and small project development for women. The initiative, implemented in collaboration with the National Council for Women, aims to enhance the economic prospects and quality of life for women in the region by equipping them with vital business skills.
Fostering Grassroots Entrepreneurship
Under the directive of Dr. Khaled Mubarak, Governor of South Sinai, the free four-day course is designed to support and qualify local women, particularly graduates of the governorate’s Vocational Training Center. The program runs for three hours daily, providing an intensive learning experience that covers the fundamentals of establishing and managing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
From Skills To Market Access
The curriculum provides participants with practical expertise essential for launching a successful venture. Key topics include an introduction to the principles of entrepreneurship, the role of financial inclusion in supporting startups, and methods for conducting feasibility studies. The program also leverages the experience of Egypt’s Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA) to guide attendees on product marketing and provides them with future opportunities to showcase their products in free exhibitions.
A Pathway To Economic Empowerment
Upon completion of the training, participants will receive an accredited certificate that qualifies them for employment opportunities within the private sector. Rasha Misbah, Director of the Equal Opportunities Unit, noted that the program’s first day saw significant engagement and enthusiasm from the attendees. The initiative is part of a broader state effort to cultivate a new generation of entrepreneurs capable of contributing to Egypt’s economic future.
