Space42, an AI and space technology company, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with e& UAE to jointly develop and deploy vehicle-to-everything (V2X) technologies across the UAE. The partnership aims to accelerate the advancement of autonomous mobility and build a sophisticated smart city infrastructure.
A Strategic Alliance for a 6G-Ready Future
This collaboration will merge Space42’s Sovereign Mobility Cloud and autonomous vehicle solutions with e& UAE’s advanced 5.5G network, edge computing, and secure communication technologies. By combining their expertise, the two entities will lay the groundwork for a 6G-ready mobility ecosystem, enhancing vehicle communication with other cars, road infrastructure, and pedestrians for improved safety and efficiency.

From Pilot Projects to Public Rollout
Space42 and e& will focus on three key areas: integrating terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks with the Sovereign Mobility Cloud; testing autonomous shuttles, robotaxis, and logistics fleets in Abu Dhabi and other smart mobility zones; and working with regulatory bodies like the Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) to establish national standards for commercial rollout. This initiative directly supports the UAE’s National AI Strategy 2031.
The partnership builds on Space42’s proven track record. Since 2021, its flagship robotaxi service, TXAI, has logged over 600,000 kilometres of autonomous driving and completed 20,000 passenger trips, demonstrating the potential to scale autonomous technology from pilots to widespread public use.
