STEM Entrepreneurship Center Powers “Al Foras Fein?” To Uncover Market Opportunities in Egypt

Cairo-based ecosystem builder STEM Entrepreneurship Center (STEM EC) has reinforced its commitment to the region’s startup community by powering the sixth edition of the influential event “Al Foras Fein?” (الفرص فين؟). The session gathered founders, investors, and ecosystem leaders at The Greek Campus to explore and identify genuine opportunities in the current market landscape.

The high-impact dialogue was led by investor Mohamed Nagaty, Co-Founder of Exits MENA, and hosted by Hussein Al Menawy, CEO of Xanadu Group and Managing Director of Startup Grind Cairo, with a special appearance by Shark Tank Egypt’s Ahmed Khalil.

A Bridge Between Local and Global Markets

Hussein Al Menawy highlighted the event’s role as an annual pulse-check for the Egyptian and global markets, assessing strengths and identifying gaps across key sectors. He noted the significance of this year’s edition, which marked the launch of “Al Foras Fein?” as an independent platform dedicated to producing specialized business and financial content for the region.
From an investor’s standpoint, Mohamed Nagaty emphasized that the platform acts as a critical bridge, transferring global market insights to the local scene to enhance decision-making for entrepreneurs.

“We need to move from asking ‘Where is opportunity?’ to building the mechanisms that create it, systematically, not sporadically,” Nagaty stated, underscoring the need for execution-driven ecosystem development.

From Ambition to Scalable Action

Positioning itself as a co-building partner, STEM EC focuses on designing entrepreneurship as a continuous experience rather than a one-off intervention. Through community building, dedicated platforms, and targeted support, the center aims to help founders transition from ambition to structured, scalable action.

Over the past year, STEM EC has actively integrated itself within the entrepreneurial community through key partnerships and sponsorships at major regional events, including Hult Prize, RiseUp, AIESEC, Techne, and the Knowledge Youth Forum. The organization has also hosted its own sector-focused meetups in technology, green tech, and other emerging industries.

Strengthening Ecosystem Ties

Both Al Menawy and Nagaty expressed their enthusiasm for the strategic partnership with STEM EC, sharing their optimism for the future, particularly as “Al Foras Fein?” evolves into an independent entity. They hinted that further details about the collaboration will be announced throughout the year, signaling a deeper integration aimed at fostering innovation and growth in Egypt’s startup ecosystem.
