Syrian Innovators Invited To Apply To The Made By Syrians Initiative

The Syria Response Innovation Lab (SyRIL) has launched its “Made by Syrians” initiative, a call for innovative solutions aimed at improving lives in Syria across critical humanitarian sectors. The program invites Syrians from all backgrounds, both inside and outside the country, to submit their ideas and projects.

Innovation Challenge Overview

This initiative seeks to discover practical and scalable solutions to pressing humanitarian needs in Syria. SyRIL is looking for innovative ideas in three key focus areas:

  • Climate Change Adaptation: Solutions addressing environmental challenges, renewable energy, waste management, and climate resilience.
  • Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH): Innovations to improve access to clean water, affordable sanitation facilities, and community hygiene.
  • Education: Creative solutions for digital learning, skills development, and expanding access to education in crisis environments.

Selected ideas and projects will receive significant support to help them grow and make an impact:

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be Syrian innovators, residing either inside Syria or in the diaspora.
  • Applications are welcome from individuals and teams.
  • Projects can be at the concept, prototype, pilot, or implementation stage.
  • The proposed solution must address at least one of the three focus areas (Climate Change, WASH, or Education).
