A call for applications has been launched for Syrian-led startups to be part of history at GITEX 2025 in Dubai, the world’s largest tech and startup event. The initiative, led by SYNC, will select 10 startups to co-exhibit at the first-ever Syrian Pavilion at GITEX Expand North Star and compete in the Supernova Challenge.
Program Overview and Mission
For the first time ever, Syria will have a dedicated pavilion at GITEX, offering a unique chance for the country’s innovators to shine on the global stage. The mission is to showcase innovative Syrian-led solutions, connect founders with global investors, and proudly represent Syrian innovation at the region’s biggest tech event.
What Participants Will Receive
This is a unique opportunity for direct exposure to the global tech and investment community. The program offers a comprehensive support package, including:
- A chance to compete in the Supernova Challenge, the world’s largest early-stage pitch competition with an equity-free prize pool of over $200,000.
- Travel Support: Syria-based startups will receive fully covered trips, booth space, and visa facilitation.
- Global Exposure: Showcase your startup to global investors, media, and tech leaders.
- Curated Connections: Meet with established Syrian businesses, relevant companies, and inspiring organizations.
- Expert Guidance: Access top mentors and industry experts to refine your pitch and strategy.
Who Should Apply?
The program is looking for the most promising Syrian-led startups ready to take on the global stage. Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Have at least one Syrian founder or co-founder.
- Be able to travel to Dubai and present at GITEX in person.
- Have a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) with early traction.
