talabat Egypt, the region’s leading e-commerce and delivery platform, celebrated its fifth anniversary by hosting its Annual Partner Awards, an event that recognized its key vendors, suppliers, and institutional collaborators. The ceremony underscored the company’s deep integration into the Egyptian economy and its commitment to fostering public-private partnerships to accelerate digital transformation.
Celebrating Five Years of E-commerce Leadership
Marking half a decade of operations in Egypt, the anniversary event showcased talabat’s significant milestones and the inspiring success stories of its partners. The company has played a pivotal role in shaping the country’s e-commerce landscape, building an integrated digital ecosystem that drives technological innovation and creates sustainable employment opportunities.
Hadeer Shalaby, VP and Managing Director of talabat Egypt, commented, “This milestone event is not only a celebration of five years of growth in Egypt but also a renewal of our commitment to our partners, customers, and community. True success is never achieved alone—it’s built on strong, long-standing partnerships that form the foundation of our journey.” She emphasized the goal to further position Egypt as a regional hub for innovation and technology-driven services through sustained collaboration.
Echoing this sentiment, Mohamed Sekkina, General Manager of talabat mart Egypt, highlighted the role of suppliers and partner brands in delivering a fast and reliable q-commerce experience. “Recognizing the vital role we play in the Q-commerce sector, we reaffirm our ongoing commitment to continuously improving supply chain efficiency and expanding our partnerships to support the rapid growth of this promising sector in Egypt,” he stated.
Forging Strategic Public-Private Alliances
The ceremony saw high-level attendance from government officials, including ministers of Finance, Supply and Internal Trade, and Labour, signaling strong governmental support for the digital economy. In a significant move to strengthen its ecosystem, talabat Egypt signed two landmark Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs).
The first MoU was signed with the Ministry of Labor under its “Your Safety Matters” initiative. This agreement aims to promote occupational safety and ensure safer, more sustainable working conditions for delivery riders.
