Bridging The Gap Between Academia And Tech Ecosystems
The Next Tech Gen program operates as a structured corporate social responsibility initiative designed to prepare aspiring students for the modern workforce. Through regular visits to universities and academies, the platform connects students with industry experts across product development, artificial intelligence, automation, logistics, and digital strategy.
Amal Bukhamseen, Manager of Corporate Affairs at Talabat Kuwait, noted the momentum of the initiative following its initial launch.
“Following the strong engagement we witnessed during the launch of Next Tech Gen, we were pleased to bring the program to GUST,” Bukhamseen stated.
“During this session, we focused on the role of data in shaping marketing strategies and guiding key business decisions, giving students practical insight into how a technology-driven platform operates and evolves.”
Scaling Data-Driven Strategies In Kuwait
During the GUST session, company representatives walked the 160 attendees through the platform’s two-decade transition from a localized application to a major regional player. A core focus of the curriculum was demonstrating how raw data translates into actionable marketing communication strategies and high-level organizational decisions.
The event also served as a networking and career discovery platform. Presenters highlighted the diverse technical and operational roles that sustain the company’s regional growth, using real-life case studies to illustrate daily operations and problem-solving techniques.
Hawraa Alsaleh, Vice President of the Marketing Club at GUST, emphasized the value of bringing industry leaders directly to the campus.
“Hosting the second NTG event offered our students a rich experience that brought them closer to the field they aspire to join upon graduating,” Alsaleh said.
She added that collaborating with market leaders complements classroom theory and better equips graduates with the practical skills needed to succeed professionally.
By investing in national human capital and fostering local digital capabilities, the ongoing educational program aligns directly with the economic and technological objectives outlined in Kuwait Vision 2035.
