In a significant move to bolster the national startup ecosystem, Tunisia’s Ministry of Family, Women, Children, and Seniors has signed a strategic partnership agreement with the National Organization for Entrepreneurs. The collaboration is designed to support and promote female entrepreneurship and drive investment into women-led ventures across the country.
The agreement was formalized by Asma Al-Jabri, Minister of Family, Women, Children, and Seniors, and Yassine Kouia, President of the National Organization for Entrepreneurs.
A Strategic Push For Women-Led Innovation
Minister Asma Al-Jabri highlighted that the agreement is part of a broader national effort to advance women’s roles in the economy. She emphasized the Ministry’s commitment to overcoming existing challenges for female founders and encouraging women and girls throughout Tunisia to launch projects and enter high-value, innovative business sectors.
The partnership aims to establish a clear executive program in coordination with the Ministry’s regional delegations. This program will raise awareness about the incentives available for female entrepreneurs and streamline access to critical resources.
Comprehensive Support From Ideation To Expansion
The collaboration will provide end-to-end support for female founders. Key focus areas include enhancing financial literacy, offering mentorship throughout the entire business lifecycle—from pre-launch to scaling—and building capacity in crucial areas like marketing, promotion, and export.
Yassine Kouia affirmed the National Organization for Entrepreneurs’ commitment to supporting the Ministry’s goals. He stated that the organization will work to cultivate a strong culture of female entrepreneurship, develop the investment capabilities of Tunisian women, and enhance the national and international visibility of women-led enterprises.
Amplifying The ‘Raedet’ National Program
A central objective of the agreement is to promote the National Program for Women’s Entrepreneurship and Investment, known as “Raedet.” This initiative, along with the Ministry’s other economic integration programs, aims to facilitate the creation and development of women-led small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
By combining resources, the partnership will provide robust support for entrepreneurs with promising business ideas, ensuring they have the skills and guidance needed for long-term sustainability and growth.
About The Raedet Program
The “Raedet” program is a national initiative in Tunisia dedicated to the economic integration and empowerment of women. It provides a framework of support for aspiring and current female entrepreneurs, offering resources, training, and financial incentives to help them launch, manage, and scale their businesses, with a focus on creating sustainable and high-value projects.
