Tunisia is set to host the International Conference on Women’s Entrepreneurship in the Digital Economy, a pivotal event scheduled for December 15th and 16th in the capital, Tunis. The conference aims to recognize and amplify the critical role of female founders in the rapidly evolving digital landscape across the Arab world.
The event is being organized by the National Union of Tunisian Women in partnership with the Arab Women Leaders Union, with participation from the League of Arab States. It will bring together representatives from approximately 20 Arab nations to address the unique challenges and opportunities facing women in the region’s tech ecosystem.
A Regional Gathering for Empowerment
The conference is designed to foster a collaborative environment for entrepreneurs, government officials, and non-governmental organizations. The primary goal is to showcase the success of Arab women in the digital economy, providing a platform for sharing experiences, exchanging innovative ideas, and presenting models of successful startups and established companies led by women.
By uniting key stakeholders, the event seeks to formulate actionable recommendations and proposals aimed at advancing female entrepreneurship throughout the Arab world.
Addressing Key Challenges and Opportunities
The two-day program will feature in-depth working sessions on several critical topics. Discussions will center on the current state, opportunities, and hurdles for Arab women entrepreneurs. A key focus will be on the role of Artificial Intelligence in developing and scaling female-led businesses.
The agenda will also explore future investment prospects for women in the digital economy and address the competitive dynamics of a market traditionally dominated by men. The conference will highlight successful case studies from various Arab countries, offering practical insights and inspiration.
About The Arab Women Leaders Union
Founded in October 2018, the Arab Women Leaders Union works to unify the visions, efforts, and policies of female leaders within governmental and non-governmental institutions and civil society organizations across the Arab region. The organization’s membership includes prominent female leaders, male allies who support women in leadership, and a cohort of future young leaders aged between 18 and 24.
