Tunisia-based venture capital firm 216 Capital Ventures has announced an investment in Deplike, a music EdTech startup leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) to revolutionize instrumental learning. Deplike, whose application Chordie AI has been described as a “Duolingo for guitar,” is rapidly scaling its user base and revenue globally, demonstrating the potential for MENA-backed firms to invest in impactful, international technology solutions.
AI-Driven Pedagogy Redefining Music Education
Deplike’s core offering, Chordie AI, is transforming the way people learn instruments by integrating technology into the learning process. The application combines real-time intelligent feedback, immersive 3D tutors, and gamified mechanics to create a highly engaging and accessible educational experience. This AI-driven approach is proving effective, as evidenced by Deplike’s strong user growth, with over 250,000 active users and 3,000 new signups daily, alongside tripled revenue growth last quarter, primarily driven by the U.S. and U.K. markets.
Investment Strategy for Global Scaling
The funding from 216 Capital will be deployed to accelerate Deplike’s expansion and product roadmap. Key initiatives include the launch of new AI-powered learning applications for instruments like the piano and ukulele, the establishment of a strategic publishing partnership, and the bolstering of the technical and marketing teams.

The round also attracted other notable investors, including Eren Bali (Co-founder of Udemy), Mehmet Ecevit (Gram Games), and Ali Akgün (VP at Microsoft AI), underscoring the startup’s global appeal and promising trajectory toward its planned Series A round.
