Aligning Religious Institutions with the UAE AI Strategy 2031
The training initiative operates as part of a national strategic program built alongside major global technology companies. By bringing technological literacy to the religious sector, the UAE government aims to train more than 5,000 imams, preachers, muftis, and religious speakers.
This program directly aligns with the UAE Artificial Intelligence Strategy 2031. The primary goal is to close the gap between religious institutions and the governmental entities driving the country’s digital future, ensuring all sectors participate in the broader knowledge economy.
By accelerating the adoption of smart solutions, the government is actively building national talent readiness across historically non-technical verticals.
Implementing Microsoft Copilot for Content and Research
The inaugural workshop hosted more than 600 professionals both in person and virtually at the Mohammed Bin Zayed University for Humanities. The session focused on establishing foundational knowledge regarding artificial intelligence technologies and the ethical principles required for responsible public use.
During the sessions, Microsoft showcased practical applications of its AI suite tailored for the workplace. Instructors highlighted advanced generative tools, specifically Microsoft Copilot, demonstrating how religious professionals can utilize the software to support content creation, execute research, analyze religious texts, and organize information effectively.
The collaboration between government offices and academic institutions highlights a structured approach to institutional digital transformation, ensuring traditional discourse professionals can navigate modern technical challenges.
