UAE Initiative Engages 7,000 Youth To Shape The Nation’s Economic Future

The Federal Youth Authority has successfully concluded its “Youth Making Tomorrow’s Economy” initiative, a series of impactful events held under the national “UAE, the World Capital of Entrepreneurs” campaign. The initiative engaged over 7,000 young men and women from across the Emirates, aiming to empower the next generation of Emirati founders and embed innovation as a sustainable career path to strengthen the nation’s competitive, knowledge-based economy.

From National Tour To Founder Recognition

The initiative’s core components, the “Young Entrepreneurs Caravan” and the “Young Entrepreneurs Forum,” produced significant outcomes for the ecosystem. A key highlight was the launch of the “National List of Emirati Projects with the ‘Made by Youth’ Mark,” which now features over 100 youth-led national projects across various creative and service sectors.

Furthermore, the Caravan, after analyzing feedback from decision-makers and participants, generated a comprehensive report detailing over 150 national outputs and recommendations designed to bolster the UAE’s youth entrepreneurship environment.

A National Vision For Youth Empowerment

Dr. Sultan bin Saif Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, emphasized the strategic importance of this initiative. “The UAE has always placed youth empowerment at the heart of its development visions, viewing them as essential partners in building the future,” he stated. “Investing in their potential is the most direct path to cementing the nation’s status as a competitive and sustainable global economic hub. The state has worked to provide an integrated legislative, educational, and funding environment that gives youth opportunities for growth and active contribution to major national transformations.”

Building A Roadmap From The Ground Up

The “Young Entrepreneurs Caravan” toured all seven emirates, featuring over 40 diverse workshops and events with officials, decision-makers, and young entrepreneurs. This grassroots approach was crucial for gathering direct insights into the needs of aspiring founders.

Khalid Al Nuaimi, Director of the Federal Youth Authority, explained, “The Authority worked through the Caravan to document the aspirations of the youth, identify their actual needs for support, funding, and legislation, and document opportunities in each emirate. This has allowed us to formulate a realistic roadmap that supports the future of entrepreneurship in the country and will form the basis for upcoming initiatives.” This ensures that future programs are built on a foundation of real-world feedback, expanding economic empowerment for Emirati youth across all sectors.
