The Jordanian-Emirati Businesswomen’s Council announced a year of significant achievements at its second members’ forum in Abu Dhabi, highlighting its rapid growth and impact on female entrepreneurship and bilateral economic ties. In its inaugural year, the council organized 168 events and engaged over 2,300 businesswomen in its training and qualification programs.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Hadaabi, the council’s chairwoman, stated that the organization was founded to be a platform for integration and a bridge for cooperation between the two nations. The council’s first year saw the execution of a strategic plan that included 71 events to support entrepreneurship, 63 events for developing women’s capabilities, and 33 events aimed at expanding Jordanian-Emirati trade and investment.
A Year Of Impactful Engagement
The council’s activities spanned a wide range of topics, from training on leadership, investment, and business protocol to specialized sessions on finance, tourism, and media. The programs have benefited 2,300 businesswomen, providing them with essential skills and networking opportunities. Furthermore, the council facilitated participation in major international events, including the AIM Congress, the “Make it in the Emirates” forum, and the Global Women’s Forum in Bahrain, connecting its members to global economic leaders.
Building Strategic Regional And Global Partnerships
In its first year, the council successfully signed nine official agreements with local, regional, and international entities in the UAE, Bahrain, China, Jordan, and with the Arab League. According to Al Hadaabi, 83% of these agreements were with service partners to directly support members, while 17% were with official bodies to enhance economic relations. Demonstrating its ambitious growth strategy, the council also revealed it is in negotiations to forge new partnerships in Russia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Oman.
Future Plans Focused On AI And Youth
Looking ahead, the council’s 2025-2026 action plan will focus on sustainability, innovation, and positive impact. A key initiative is an upcoming conference and exhibition on artificial intelligence, set to be held in Amman, Jordan, in April of next year. The annual economic conference, titled “Women’s Leadership in the Age of AI: From Empowerment to Impact,” will also be held in Amman next year before moving to the UAE in 2027.
Other strategic initiatives include “Pioneers of the Impossible,” a program to introduce aspiring female university students to entrepreneurship, the launch of an entrepreneurship diploma, and a business delegation trip to China at the end of 2025.
