The Dubai Business Registration and Licensing Corporation (DBLC), part of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), has officially launched the next-generation version of its Invest in Dubai (IID) platform at GITEX GLOBAL 2025. This major upgrade introduces a suite of AI-driven features and a unified service model designed to dramatically streamline the entire business setup and licensing journey, reinforcing Dubai’s position as a leading global business hub.
A Unified Digital Experience with 360 Services
The centerpiece of the enhanced platform is the new “360 Services” feature, which consolidates critical government services into a single, seamless digital window. This initiative integrates essential permits and approvals from key government bodies, including the Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratisation (MOHRE), Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), Community Development Authority (CDA), and Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA). By unifying these processes, the platform eliminates redundancies, minimizes paperwork, and provides investors with a single interface to manage the complete licence issuance process, from corporate structures to branch licences.
Driving the D33 Agenda with AI and Innovation
This launch directly supports the directives of UAE leadership and the ambitious goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33, which aims to increase economic productivity by 50% through innovation and digital adoption. Artificial intelligence is now fully embedded across the IID platform, powering features like an AI chatbot, an AI-driven business name reservation tool, and automated permit approvals. These technological advancements, combined with omni-channel support options, are engineered to deliver a transparent, efficient, and personalized experience for entrepreneurs, SMEs, and multinational corporations alike.
Proven Traction and Rapid Growth
Since its initial launch in 2021, the Invest in Dubai platform has become a cornerstone of the emirate’s economic momentum. The platform has attracted over 500,000 unique users and facilitated the incorporation of more than 280,900 new businesses. The impact on efficiency is stark: business licence issuance has surged nearly six-fold from 16,584 in 2021 to 95,543 in 2024. Most impressively, the average processing time for licences and related services has been reduced from 14 days in 2022 to just one day in 2025, driving investor satisfaction to 99% in the first quarter of this year.
