Strategic Capital for Consumer Health Tech
2PointZero Group, listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, actively targets businesses with strong unit economics and scalable subscription models. The firm views consumer health technology as a high-growth vertical with long-term compounding potential, citing projections that the global consumer wearables market will approach $300 billion over the next decade.
Samia Bouazza, CEO of 2PointZero Group, highlighted the rationale behind backing the Boston-based wearables company.
“At 2PointZero, we deploy capital where growth, strong fundamentals, and scalability align,” said Bouazza.
“We believe WHOOP has built a defensible moat at the intersection of technology, health, and data and is a category-defining platform with strong unit economics, a deeply engaged community, and a clear path toward scaled profitability.”
WHOOP Accelerates UAE Market Expansion
Founded in 2012, WHOOP has aggressively scaled its subscription-based health monitoring model worldwide. The company has maintained a presence in the UAE since forming an initial partnership with Expo 2020 Dubai in 2017.
Will Ahmed, Founder and CEO of WHOOP, emphasized the strategic importance of the Middle East to the company’s international roadmap.
“We are proud to partner with 2PointZero Group as WHOOP enters its next phase of global growth,” Ahmed stated.
“Today, the UAE has become one of our strongest international markets. This investment will help accelerate our growth in the UAE and globally as we continue to redefine how people understand and improve their health.”
The wearable company continues to release new hardware and localized services. Following the launch of its 5.0 and MG models in May 2025, WHOOP partnered with Unilabs to introduce its Advanced Labs program directly in the UAE. This initiative provides local members with access to a comprehensive 65-biomarker blood testing panel, further integrating the hardware with clinical-level data insights.
