The UAE’s Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Office, in a landmark collaboration with Google, has launched the “AI for All” initiative. Announced during the UAE Coding Day event “UAE Codes 2025,” the program aims to equip individuals across the nation with critical AI skills through comprehensive training programs set to roll out throughout 2026.

A Strategic Push for Economic Growth

The initiative is a direct response to the massive economic potential of artificial intelligence, with generative AI projected to add as much as AED 298 billion to the UAE’s economy. This collaboration underscores the government’s strategy to prepare its society and workforce for a future shaped by advanced technology.

His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, affirmed that the partnership reflects the UAE Government’s forward-looking vision. He stated that the collaboration with a global tech leader like Google is an outstanding model for empowering society with future skills, supporting the development of an advanced digital economy, and solidifying the UAE’s position as a global hub for innovation and talent.

Empowering Every Segment of Society

The “AI for All” initiative is designed to be inclusive, targeting students, university learners, employees, content creators, and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). In collaboration with Google, the program will offer educational modules on using AI responsibly and safely, training on effective prompt writing for generative AI, and workshops on developing creative skills with AI-powered tools. A dedicated educational series will also focus on helping SMEs leverage AI to drive growth and enhance operational efficiency.

“Our collaboration on the ‘AI for All Initiative’ is built on a shared belief – AI’s benefits must be accessible to all,” said Anthony Nakache, Managing Director at Google MENA. “By providing students with our most advanced Gemini models, empowering SMBs with growth tools, and supporting teachers and journalists, we are helping to build a future where every member of the community can participate safely and confidently in the AI economy.”

Google’s Commitment to the Region

As part of the initiative, Google is providing university students with 12 months of free access to “Gemini 2.5,” its most advanced model, to promote creative and continuous learning. Furthermore, a nationwide campaign will run throughout 2026 to boost public awareness and adoption of essential AI skills, encouraging everyone in the UAE to complete foundational AI literacy modules.

This effort aligns with the UAE Government’s Vision 2031 and is part of Google’s broader MENA AI Opportunity Initiative, which aims to provide essential AI skills, research funding, and access to helpful AI products across the region by the end of 2027. The initiative also builds upon the success of “Maharat min Google,” an educational platform launched in 2018 that has already trained over 430,000 people in the UAE.
