Aydi, the UAE-based AgriTech platform, has successfully raised $7.5 million in a Seed funding round. The investment was co-led by a powerful syndicate of regional investors, including COTU Ventures, Daltex, and Nuwa Capital, with significant participation from Magrabi Agriculture and Foundation Ventures.

Introducing Orth The AI-Powered Agricultural Assistant

The fresh capital will fuel the official launch and global expansion of Orth, Aydi’s advanced AI-powered agricultural assistant. Orth is designed to provide farmers with real-time, farm-specific recommendations, facilitate the early detection of crop problems, and deliver productivity and efficiency improvements of over 20%. The technology was formally unveiled at the Fruit Attraction exhibition in Madrid, with both free and paid plans available for individual farmers and corporations.

Powering a New Operating System for Fields

Aydi’s core mission is to provide a comprehensive “field operating system” for the agricultural sector. The platform ingeniously combines satellite imagery, predictive analytics, and an interactive, conversational AI to equip farmers with precise, plot-level data and actionable insights. This integrated approach empowers growers to make more informed decisions, optimizing resource use and maximizing yields in the face of increasing climate volatility and rising operational costs.

Strong Investor Backing for Global Ambitions

The significant backing from a consortium of specialized agriculture and technology investors validates Aydi’s vision to revolutionize global farming practices. The company has ambitious plans to scale Orth into a complete operating system for the global agriculture industry, with the ultimate goal of serving millions of farmers around the world and enhancing global food security.
