CredibleX, the UAE-based SME lending platform, has secured a $100 million senior secured credit facility from Pollen Street Capital. This deal marks a significant milestone for both entities, as it is Pollen Street’s first transaction in the UAE since establishing its Abu Dhabi office.
Expanding SME Access to Capital
The new funding will be instrumental in scaling CredibleX’s operations to meet the increasing demand for SME working capital solutions in the UAE. The fintech plans to significantly expand its loan book and strengthen its embedded finance partnerships. Founded in 2023, CredibleX provides small and medium-sized enterprises with crucial financial products, including receivables financing, payables financing, and short-term loans, all accessible through a fully digital platform.
A Validation of Embedded Finance
The facility serves as a strong validation of CredibleX’s technology-driven, embedded finance model, which aims to democratize access to credit for businesses. This major financing comes after the company raised a $55 million seed round in late 2024, which included both equity and debt.
“This facility is a major milestone in our growth journey and a validation of our embedded finance approach,” said Anand Nagaraj, Co-Founder & CEO of CredibleX. “It will allow us to scale our footprint and democratise access to credit for SMEs across the UAE and beyond.”
