UAE’s du Launches World’s First Arabic Telecom Large Language Model

du, the UAE-based telecom and digital services provider, has announced the launch of the world’s first Arabic Telecom Large Language Model (LLM). The cross-sector initiative was developed in collaboration with global technology leaders Microsoft and Nokia, alongside Khalifa University’s 6G Research Centre and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).

This groundbreaking initiative sets a new benchmark for localized AI in the telecommunications industry:

  • World First: The launch of the first Large Language Model specifically designed for telecom operations in the Arabic language.
