Emerge FZCO has officially launched as a founder-first ecosystem enabler, aiming to solidify Dubai’s position as a premier destination for global tech entrepreneurs. Operating from the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) Free Zone, the new platform provides startups and scale-ups with comprehensive programs, licensing support, and access to a connected ecosystem to help them establish and grow their ventures in the emirate.
Strategic Partnership with DWTC Free Zone
Emerge is strategically based within the Dubai World Trade Centre Authority (DWTCA) Free Zone, placing it at the heart of the city’s central business district. This location offers startups a world-class regulatory framework and direct access to a dynamic community of over 2,000 companies across more than 40 sectors.
Abdalla Albanna, Vice President of Free Zone Regulatory Operations at Dubai World Trade Centre, commented, “The launch of Emerge within the DWTC Free Zone further enhances our ecosystem by providing technology-focused start-ups with specialized support to establish and scale their businesses. Companies joining our Free Zone gain direct access to DWTC’s year-round calendar of world-class exhibitions, conferences, and mega-events, placing them at the heart of Dubai’s vibrant commercial landscape.”
A Comprehensive Support System for Founders
Emerge’s mission is to streamline the market entry process for global startups looking to use Dubai as a launchpad for regional and international expansion. The platform’s offering is designed to remove common friction points for founders by providing a suite of tailored services, including licensing support, business setup services, legal guidance, immigration facilitation, and market advisory. Founders will also gain access to co-working spaces and introductions to a curated network of investors, corporate partners, and key ecosystem stakeholders.
“Our goal with Emerge is to remove friction for global founders and give them the right regulatory advice, and business and community support from day one,” said Kokila Alagh, Director of Emerge. “Dubai has everything startups need — and Emerge is here to make that entry seamless.”
Targeting High-Growth Tech Sectors
The initiative will focus on high-growth industries pivotal to Dubai’s digital economy, such as blockchain, fintech, gaming, e-commerce, and entertainment. To provide specialized support, Emerge plans to roll out industry-specific programs, beginning with a gaming-focused initiative in 2025, followed by a program for e-commerce. This strategic focus aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to double the size of the emirate’s economy by 2033.
Pranav Agarwal, Director of Emerge, added, “Dubai’s rise as a global innovation hub is creating unprecedented opportunities. With Emerge, we want to empower the next generation of founders to make Dubai not just their base, but springboard them to serve the world.”
