The Federal Youth Authority has announced a comprehensive suite of specialized initiatives under the banner “Youth Shaping Tomorrow’s Economy,” aimed at bolstering the UAE’s burgeoning entrepreneurial ecosystem. This strategic move is designed to empower young Emiratis, encourage innovation as a sustainable career path, and provide them with the essential resources to launch and scale impactful ventures that contribute to the nation’s competitive economy. The initiatives align with the broader national campaign, “UAE, the World’s Entrepreneurship Capital,” launched by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
A National Vision for Youth-Led Growth
The announcement was made at a press conference featuring H.E. Dr. Sultan bin Saif Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs. He emphasized that the campaign reflects the leadership’s vision to equip young Emiratis with the tools and opportunities needed to build an innovative and sustainable economic future. “The UAE believes that the real investment begins with its people, and the youth are the foundation of this national approach,” stated Dr. Al Neyadi. He added that the campaign serves as a global platform for entrepreneurship, fostering collaboration between the public and private sectors to activate the role of youth in pioneering new economic sectors.
The Entrepreneurs’ Caravan and Key Programs
A central component of the strategy is the “Entrepreneurs’ Caravan,” a national tour set to cover all seven emirates. This tour aims to engage directly with young entrepreneurs, analyze their aspirations, and document regional opportunities and challenges. The Authority aims to engage over 5,000 young people through more than 25 events and five core initiatives. A key program is the “Made by Youth” mark, a new certification designed to recognize and promote national projects led by young Emiratis, thereby enhancing trust among consumers and investors. The series of events will culminate in the “Young Entrepreneurs Forum,” which is set to be the largest gathering of its kind for Emirati entrepreneurs in the country.
Fostering Innovation Through Hands-On Support
The Federal Youth Authority is rolling out a range of practical support mechanisms to accelerate startup growth. This includes activating incubators within youth centers to provide innovative, low-cost workspaces and networking opportunities for early-stage founders. The “Pitch Your Project” initiative will give entrepreneurs a direct platform to present their services to major corporations seeking new partners and suppliers. Furthermore, interactive workshops will focus on critical skills for today’s market, including leveraging AI in business, design thinking, and future foresight. These efforts are complemented by the “Map of Opportunities,” an interactive platform detailing specific business prospects in each emirate, ensuring that young founders can make informed, strategic decisions.
