Nabta Health, the UAE-based FemTech company, has successfully closed a $2 million Pre-Series A funding round, elevating its total funding to $4.5 million. The company is pioneering a unique AI-powered hybrid model that integrates digital, at-home, and in-clinic services to transform women’s healthcare across the region.
Fueling Regional Expansion and Product Development
The newly acquired capital is earmarked for a multi-faceted growth strategy. Nabta Health plans to accelerate its expansion across the Middle East and Africa (MEA), bringing its evidence-based healthcare model to a wider audience.
The investment will also be channelled into building new diagnostic and at-home testing pathways, enhancing the accessibility and convenience of care for women. A key focus will be on strengthening the company’s clinical infrastructure through strategic partnerships with leading hospitals and deepening existing collaborations with employers and insurers.
A Vision for Hybrid Women-Centred Care
The funding round affirms the market’s confidence in Nabta’s approach to closing the significant gaps in women’s healthcare.Sophie Smith, Founder and CEO of Nabta Health, commented, “This investment validates our vision – that women’s health in the region can be reimagined through an AI-powered, hybrid care model that meets women where they are, respects cultural context and delivers measurable outcomes. We are now looking to accelerate our growth so that more women and employers benefit from what we believe is the future of women-centred health: affordable, mobile-first, and engineered for sovereignty.”
Smith added, “For employers and insurers in the region, addressing the women’s health gap is not just a moral imperative; it is a business and productivity one. With this funding, we will drive scale, deepen impact and prepare for the next chapter of growth.”
Strategic Milestones and Market Recognition
The funding follows a year of significant achievements for Nabta Health. The company was named to TIME Magazine’s prestigious Top HealthTech Companies 2025 list and announced the launch of a Women’s Health Centre of Excellence in partnership with Clemenceau Medical Center Hospital Dubai.
Iain McMillan, Chair of Nabta Health, stated, “The closing of this Pre-Series A round is confirmation that Nabta Health is being increasingly recognised in the region as a key enabler of measurably better women’s health.
