UAE’s GAIA Launches ChatGPShe To Empower Women Leaders In Hospitality With AI

3 Min Read

Dubai-based women’s leadership community GAIA has launched ChatGPShe, a new initiative aimed at equipping senior women leaders in the hospitality sector with the skills to lead with artificial intelligence. The initiative kicked off with its first workshop on January 30, bringing together 15 industry leaders to explore how AI can drive smarter leadership, decision-making, and collaboration.

Addressing The AI Gender Gap

ChatGPShe was founded by Marisa Kamall, Founder of GAIA, to address the gender disparity in AI adoption and development. The initiative aims to move beyond simple tech adoption and empower women to actively shape how AI is utilized, particularly in human-centric industries like hospitality. This mission is critical, as early data from platforms like ChatGPT showed a user base that was nearly 80% male, leading to outputs that could reflect inherent biases.

“With ChatGPShe, women don’t just adopt AI—they actively shape how it’s used,” said Marisa Kamall. “This isn’t about adding another tool to the digital toolbox. It’s about influencing the answers AI gives the world, especially in industries driven by human experience, like hospitality.”

The inaugural workshop provided a forum for participants to share how they are already using AI in functions from guest communications to operational efficiency, while also focusing on ethical considerations and bias awareness.

A Peer-Led Approach to Learning

Breaking from traditional top-down training models, ChatGPShe utilizes GAIA’s peer-led leadership framework. Sessions are guided by a trained facilitator, but the core insights are generated from the collective experience of the participants themselves.

Through peer-to-peer learning, shared storytelling, and practical experimentation, leaders leave with enhanced prompting skills, greater confidence, and a trusted network to navigate the evolving AI landscape. This collaborative approach is designed to elevate the collective intelligence of the industry, ensuring that innovation coexists with service and culture.

Building on its initial momentum, GAIA plans to host a series of ChatGPShe events throughout the year, including a March edition in collaboration with Women in Tech.
