Moro Hub, a subsidiary of Digital DEWA, the digital arm of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (PJSC), has entered a strategic partnership with Univers, a global leader in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions for the energy sector. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aims to accelerate the deployment of advanced, AI-driven energy management technologies throughout the UAE, aligning with the nation’s ambitious clean energy objectives.
A Strategic Push for Digital Sustainability
The collaboration, announced on the sidelines of WETEX in Dubai, represents a significant step in leveraging cutting-edge technology for national sustainability goals. The partnership will focus on combining Moro Hub’s expertise in digital transformation with Univers’s globally recognized AI platforms to create efficient and intelligent energy solutions.

Moro Hub and Univers will jointly explore and deploy advanced technologies across several critical areas. The agreement outlines innovative applications including AI-powered analytics for solar and wind assets to enable predictive maintenance, operational optimisation, and cost reduction. The partnership will also develop AI-enabled monitoring and control systems to improve the reliability and efficiency of renewable energy sources and storage facilities. For the commercial and industrial (C&I) sectors, the focus will be on HVAC optimisation, carbon footprint reduction, and the management of AI-driven microgrids.

The partnership is poised to support the UAE’s Net Zero by 2050 strategic initiative by integrating proven global technology into the local ecosystem. Univers brings extensive experience to the table, having managed 845 GW of renewable energy worldwide.
