Preparing for the UAE E-Invoicing Rollout
The Peppol G3 certification involves the adoption of a third-generation Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) framework. This updated security standard is mandatory for all Access Points and Service Providers looking to support the UAE’s official e-invoicing mandate, which sets a strict compliance deadline of April 1, 2026.
By meeting these requirements well ahead of schedule, SunTec has secured its G3 Production PKI certificates from the Peppol Authority. This covers both its Access Point (XAP) and Service Metadata Publisher (SMP).
The comprehensive migration required rigorous testing, including verification of AS4-based message exchanges and end-to-end validation of encryption, digital signatures, and overall message integrity.
Strengthening B2B Digital Trade and Interoperability
The global Peppol network, governed by OpenPeppol, is standardizing how business documents like invoices and procurement messages are exchanged. Securing this G3 certification ensures that SunTec Xelerate complies with advanced cryptographic security and certificate management protocols.
Clinton Abbott, Head of Product Management at SunTec, emphasized the importance of this regulatory readiness.
“The successful completion of the Peppol G3 migration marks an important milestone in our e-invoicing journey,” Abbott said.
“As regulatory frameworks evolve, interoperability and security are becoming foundational to digital trade ecosystems. With G3 certification, SunTec Xelerate is fully aligned with the next-generation Peppol framework, enabling our customers to participate in a highly secure, standardized, and interoperable network for seamless document exchange across borders. This positions us strongly to support the emerging mandates in the UAE.”
With the upgraded framework in place, the company’s platform is now fully equipped to handle secure AS4-based messaging, facilitating scalable cross-border transactions across the Middle East and Europe.
