The organizing committee for Web Summit Qatar has announced that preparations are complete for the event’s third edition, officially kicking off the 100-day countdown. Scheduled to run from February 1-4, 2026, the upcoming summit is poised to be its largest yet, expecting to host over 30,000 attendees, 1,500 startups, 700 investors, and 600 media representatives from more than 120 countries.

Building on a Legacy of Success

The first two editions of Web Summit Qatar firmly established the nation as a key destination on the global tech events map. Building on this momentum, the organizing committee aims to deliver its most distinguished event to date, reflecting the rapid growth of Qatar’s national innovation ecosystem and its commitment to fostering global dialogue on the future of technology and entrepreneurship.

Sheikh Jassim bin Mansour bin Jaber Al Thani, Director of the Government Communications Office and Chairman of the Web Summit Qatar Organizing Committee, stated, “We are building on the success we achieved in the 2024 and 2025 editions through meticulous preparations for the third edition, which we aspire to be the most distinguished in terms of experience, content, and international participation.” He emphasized that the event aligns with Qatar National Vision 2030, reinforcing the country’s position as a global hub for innovation.

A Magnet for Global and Local Startups

Early indicators reveal significant international interest, with startups from over 60 countries having already confirmed their participation. This reflects Doha’s growing reputation as an attractive destination for emerging tech companies. The summit has also proven to be a powerful catalyst for the local ecosystem. The previous edition featured 228 Qatari startups out of a total of 1,520, marking a 140% increase compared to the inaugural event and highlighting the nation’s growing support for homegrown innovation.

Fuelling Regional Growth Stories

Web Summit Qatar has become a critical platform for startups to secure funding, forge partnerships, and scale their operations. Several participants from the 2025 edition have gone on to achieve significant milestones. Success stories include Be My Sense, which received support from Qatar Development Bank and Qatar Business Incubation Center, and One Connect, which established a presence in the country through the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC).

Ahmed Al-Abd, Co-founder and CEO of Be My Sense, a tech solutions provider for the hearing-impaired, described the 2025 summit as “a pivotal turning point in the company’s journey.” Similarly, Shawn Park, Co-founder and CEO of EnerjeeX, revealed that his participation led to the announcement of over $100 million in investments across the GCC for the next five years, alongside registering his company with the QFC to support regional expansion.
