Yemen’s New Initiative Empowers Young Entrepreneurs With AI Skills

3 Min Read

A new program in Aden has successfully concluded its first phase, training ten young leaders as “Ambassadors of Smart Entrepreneurial Development” to leverage artificial intelligence in their ventures. The initiative, implemented by the Ana Insan Foundation (AEF), is funded by the European Union (EU) in partnership with CARE International, aiming to boost the local startup ecosystem by integrating advanced technology.

Fostering A New Generation Of Tech-Savvy Founders

The “Ambassadors of Smart Entrepreneurial Development” project seeks to empower young entrepreneurs by equipping them with the necessary AI tools to innovate and scale their businesses. The core objective is to create a nucleus of skilled individuals who can drive knowledge sharing within their communities, fostering a culture of innovation and contributing to sustainable economic and social development. By integrating AI, the program helps founders automate processes, save time and resources, and refine their business models to move from stagnation to growth.

A Comprehensive 60-Hour Curriculum

The intensive training course spanned 60 hours over ten days, providing a robust curriculum focused on three key areas: entrepreneurship fundamentals, Training of Trainers (TOT), and practical application of AI tools. This multi-faceted approach not only provided participants with advanced tech skills but also equipped them with the leadership and training capabilities needed to mentor other entrepreneurs effectively.

Scaling Impact Through A Train-The-Trainer Model

With the first phase complete, the ten newly trained ambassadors are now set to multiply the program’s impact. Each ambassador will conduct training sessions for 50 other entrepreneurs, ensuring the knowledge and skills are disseminated widely throughout the local business community. This will be followed by three development sessions to ensure practical application and progress. The project will culminate in an exhibition showcasing the developed projects and officially announcing the new “Ambassadors of Entrepreneurial Development.”
