Nearly 125,000 Emirati women are active investors in the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), holding approximately AED 39 billion ($10.6B) in shares as of the end of July 2026, according to ADX data.
Emirati women accounted for 94% of the total value of shares held by female investors on the exchange. ADX Group highlighted the figures during a bell-ringing ceremony marking Emirati Women’s Day and honoring the mothers and grandmothers of its female employees.
The event was held under the theme “We Emerge Stronger and Better” as the UAE observes the Year of Family. ADX said the occasion underscored the importance of financial literacy, long-term investing and financial stewardship in building wealth across generations.
Women make up 40% of ADX’s workforce. The exchange said it supports female professionals through career development and advancement initiatives across the organization.
ADX Group CEO Abdulla Salem Alnuaimi said expanding financial knowledge and participation among the next generation of Emirati women would remain important to the development of the UAE’s capital markets.
