Bahrain’s Raise Program Launches 9th Cohort to Prepare Startups for Investment

Spring Venture Services, with support from the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), has announced the launch of the ninth batch of Raise: The Art of Fundraising, a two-week intensive training program. The initiative prepares Bahrain-based startups for the popular StartUp Bahrain Pitch competition by equipping founders with the skills needed to attract investment and scale their businesses.

Program Overview and Mission

Raise is a bootcamp designed to give founders a solid foundation in entrepreneurship and prepare them for fundraising. The program focuses on developing practical skills, from creating compelling pitch decks to building robust business models. This initiative is a key part of Tamkeen’s 2025 strategy to enhance the competitiveness of Bahraini talent and support the growth and sustainability of local enterprises. The ninth cohort features ten promising local startups: Unlabelled, Lamma, Thoubify App, Wajba, Jaras, Sirati, Benyany, FHD Technology, Esbitar, and WeFit.

What Participants Will Receive

The bootcamp provides a comprehensive learning experience to get startups investor-ready, including:

  • Hands-on workshops covering the global investment ecosystem, valuation, and exit strategies.
  • Specialized training on the art of pitching to investors and preparing key investment documents.
  • One-on-one office hours and advisory sessions with industry experts.
  • Access to a wide network of potential investors from across the MENA region.

Who Should Apply?

This opportunity is for ambitious Bahrain-based startups that meet the following criteria:

  • Have a minimum viable product (MVP) ready to showcase.
  • Possess a high potential for scalability with an innovative concept.
  • Offer a product or service relevant to the local or regional market.
  • Are Bahrain-based with an existing Commercial Registration (CR) and at least one Bahraini founder.

Application Deadline: While the ninth cohort has just launched, applications for future StartUp Bahrain Pitch competitions are accepted on a rolling basis.

About the Organizers

The StartUp Bahrain Pitch initiative is a national platform supported by Tamkeen, the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB), the Ministry of Industry & Commerce (MoIC), and Bahrain Development Bank (BDB). The Raise training bootcamp is conducted by Spring Venture Services, which empowers MENA founders with capital and expert guidance.
