Applications are now open for SHIFT (Scaling Holistic Inclusion in Fintech Transformation), a support program for growth-stage fintechs operating in Asia, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), and Sub-Saharan Africa. The initiative is designed to back ventures that are developing or scaling gender-inclusive financial solutions, with a focus on serving women affected by migration.
Program Overview and Mission
Building on the success of the previous FIWAM program, SHIFT is an initiative by Seedstars and its partners to address the digital and financial divide. With 3.2 billion people still lacking mobile internet access and women—especially migrants—less likely to own a phone or access financial services, the program’s mission is to help fintechs strengthen their business, scale inclusive solutions, and drive lasting impact for vulnerable communities.
What Participants Will Receive
Selected ventures will receive a comprehensive support package to accelerate their growth and impact. This includes:
- A $10,000 results-based grant.
- Tailored mentorship from industry experts.
- Investment readiness support and access to a network of over 500 investors and partners.
- Global visibility through Seedstars’ network of over 1 million members.
- The opportunity to attend onsite events in the global tech ecosystem.
- Access to the SIGMA platform to track growth, test business models, and measure impact.
Who Should Apply?
The program is looking for growth-stage, for-profit fintechs that meet the following criteria:
- Are located and operating in Asia, MENA, or Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Are providing fintech or embedded fintech products/services.
- Have an interest in understanding and positively impacting the migrant community market segment.
- Are developing or scaling gender-inclusive financial solutions that serve or can reach women affected by migration.
- Women-led and migrant-led fintechs are highly encouraged to apply.
