3 Min Read

The Ajman Department of Economic Development (Ajman DED) has announced a new package of initiatives designed to enhance the entrepreneurial ecosystem within the emirate. This move is part of Ajman’s participation in the national campaign, “The Emirates, The World’s Entrepreneurship Capital,” launched by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Aligning With A National Vision

The initiatives are strategically aligned with the UAE’s broader goal of establishing itself as a premier global destination for entrepreneurship. By launching these targeted programs, Ajman DED aims to bolster the vital role of the entrepreneurial sector in supporting the national economy and attracting talent and investment to the emirate. The programs are specifically designed for entrepreneurs, owners of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and university students.

A Suite Of Support Programs

Ajman DED’s comprehensive plan includes a series of workshops and specialized training courses. A key highlight is the launch of the “Franchise Forum for Entrepreneurs,” which will bring together a selection of local and international brands to open new avenues for entrepreneurs in the field of commercial franchising. Additionally, specialized courses in financial management and smart marketing will be offered to equip SME owners with practical tools to promote their projects innovatively and effectively.

Creating Market Access

To support direct marketing and sales for local projects, the department will organize an “Entrepreneurs’ Exhibition.” This event will provide a valuable platform for founders to showcase their products and services directly to the public and potential investors, thereby enhancing their opportunities for expansion and growth.

Attracting Investment To The Emirate

Alongside supporting local talent, Ajman DED is launching a marketing campaign to attract businesses from outside the emirate to establish branches in Ajman. The campaign also aims to draw in new entrepreneurs looking to start their ventures, reinforcing Ajman’s growing reputation as an attractive and competitive destination for investment and business.
