Cairo-based edtech startup Sprints has successfully concluded its “Sprints x Microsoft Summer Camp,” an initiative launched in collaboration with Microsoft Ambassadors to provide future-focused digital training to young people. The program saw overwhelming demand, attracting over 35,000 applications in just two months.
Bridging the Tech Skills Gap
Led by co-founder and CEO Ayman Bazaraa and chief strategy officer Bassam Sharkawy, Sprints is focused on its mission to close the region’s tech talent gap. The summer camp offered ten distinct learning tracks in high-demand areas including DevOps, web development, and artificial intelligence. A key component of the curriculum was its focus on practical application, ensuring all participants gained experience by working on real-world projects.
Enhancing Employability with Microsoft Co-Branding
A significant value-add for participants was the provision of certificates co-branded by Sprints and Microsoft. These credentials provide graduates with a competitive edge in the job market, helping to bridge the gap between youthful ambition and employer expectations by validating their newly acquired skills through a globally recognized partnership.
