In a significant move to bolster Kuwait’s startup ecosystem, the Public Authority for Youth has announced the launch of a new Investors Program. The initiative, developed in collaboration with global giants Boeing and Meta, is a key component of the Kuwait Digital Services Complex for Entrepreneurship (KDSC) and aims to cultivate a new generation of skilled investors to support high-potential local startups.

Fostering a New Generation of Investors

The program, which is also supported by the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA), is designed to strengthen the country’s investment landscape. Nasser Al-Sheikh, Acting Director General of the Public Authority for Youth, stated that the primary objective is to equip participants with the essential skills, knowledge, and networks needed to invest confidently in the Kuwaiti and wider Gulf business environments. The initiative seeks to bridge the gap between innovative ideas and venture capital, creating a more robust and self-sustaining entrepreneurial community.

Program Structure and First Cohort

Running from October to December 2025, the Investors Program offers a comprehensive curriculum featuring virtual training courses, specialized workshops, and exclusive in-person events. It provides targeted resources for both new and experienced investors who are interested in co-investment opportunities and regional collaboration. The program attracted hundreds of applications, reflecting a growing interest in investment-focused initiatives. From this pool, a first cohort of 20 investors from diverse professional backgrounds was carefully selected, all sharing a common goal of driving Kuwait’s innovation-led economy.

Building an Integrated Ecosystem

This initiative represents a critical step towards building an integrated system that unites entrepreneurs and investors within a supportive framework. According to Al-Sheikh, the program will provide participants with direct access to promising Kuwaiti companies aiming for regional and global expansion, thereby promoting impactful and sustainable investment. By fostering these connections, the Public Authority for Youth continues its mission to open new avenues for young talent and contribute to the development of the nation’s knowledge and digital economy. The program was officially launched at an event on October 9th at Alshaya Tower, attended by partners and speakers from both the public and private sectors.
