Saudi Arabia has announced a major talent development initiative, with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology launching the “Mostaqbali” (My Future) program. The ambitious project aims to train 50,000 Saudi citizens in artificial intelligence (AI) and other critical digital skills, preparing them for the demands of the future labor market.
A Strategic Partnership for Digital Transformation
The Mostaqbali program is a collaborative effort between the Ministry, global tech giant Oracle, and the National eLearning Center (NeLC). The training will be delivered through FutureX, the national eLearning platform, demonstrating a commitment to leveraging digital infrastructure for widespread education and upskilling. This partnership combines governmental vision with industry expertise and advanced learning technologies to create a robust training ecosystem.
Comprehensive Curriculum for the Future Workforce
Open to all ages and professional backgrounds, the program offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to build practical, in-demand competencies. It features 23 distinct training tracks that amount to 300 hours of learning. The curriculum covers a wide spectrum of technical specializations, including artificial intelligence, cloud computing, database management, and Oracle applications. Upon successful completion of the requirements, participants will be awarded recognized professional certificates to validate their new skills.
Aligning with Saudi Vision 2030
This initiative is a direct extension of the ministry’s strategic efforts to accelerate the Kingdom’s transition into an era of smart technologies and a knowledge-based economy, a core pillar of Saudi Vision 2030. By focusing on empowering recent graduates, current employees, and female talent, the program aims to localize digital talent, foster innovation in AI, and provide equitable opportunities for all segments of society to contribute to and benefit from the nation’s digital growth.
