Microsoft has announced its participation in GITEX Global 2025, where it will spotlight the next frontier of artificial intelligence, termed “Agentic AI.” At the event, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from October 13–17, the global tech giant and its 37 partners will demonstrate how autonomous AI systems are set to transform organisations by enabling them to plan, reason, and act independently to achieve complex goals.

Agentic AI represents a significant evolution from current generative AI models, moving from providing insights to taking autonomous action. Microsoft will showcase how teams of AI assistants can synthesize complex information to provide government and business leaders with data-driven insights, strategic recommendations, and real-time decision support. This new class of AI is designed to collaborate with human counterparts, enhancing efficiency and improving the quality of services across various sectors. Visitors can expect interactive, hands-on demonstrations of the latest advancements in Microsoft Copilot and AI Agents at a dedicated AI Experience Zone.

Microsoft’s showcase at GITEX underscores its commitment to the UAE’s burgeoning AI ecosystem. The company is aligning its efforts with national initiatives like the AI National Skills Program, which aims to train a vast portion of the government and public workforce. By leveraging its local datacenters in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, Microsoft provides the secure, enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure necessary for developing and deploying advanced AI solutions within the UAE’s regulatory framework. This focus on sovereign capabilities is further strengthened by its collaboration with partners like G42 to advance responsible AI frameworks.
