Morocco Becomes Home to PwC’s First MENA Digital Resilience Hub

3 Min Read

PwC has inaugurated its first Digital Resilience Center (DRC) in the MENA region, selecting Casablanca, Morocco as the strategic location for the new hub. The launch, attended by Industry and Commerce Minister Ryad Mezzour, marks a significant step in bolstering the region’s cybersecurity infrastructure and talent pool, supporting both Moroccan and African enterprises in their digital transformation journeys.

A Strategic Hub for Digital Defense

The Casablanca DRC is engineered to address the dual challenges of managing escalating cyber risks and adopting new technologies like artificial intelligence. It will provide comprehensive, 24/7 managed cybersecurity services for both local and international clients. The center’s integrated approach covers the full spectrum of digital risks, including data protection, business continuity, combating financial crime, digital forensics, and compliance. Its modular design allows for customized solutions built around four core pillars: Managed Cyber, Managed Cyber Defense, Digital Identity, and Cloud Security.

Aligning with Morocco’s National Vision

This initiative directly supports Morocco’s national priorities for digital sovereignty and talent development. The center is aligned with the “Morocco 2030” digital strategy for cybersecurity, which aims to train over 100,000 specialists in digital and cybersecurity fields by the end of the decade. PwC has committed to contributing to this national goal by training and employing 100 dedicated consultants at the DRC by 2030, addressing the critical shortage of specialized talent.

A Gateway to Africa

Beyond serving the Moroccan market, PwC envisions the Casablanca DRC as a pivotal regional hub for the African continent. The center will leverage PwC’s global network of 7,800 cybersecurity professionals and its international network of resilience centers, which operate continuously using a follow-the-sun model. This global interconnection provides clients with localized support enhanced by the power of a global network, positioning Morocco as a key player in the regional digital economy and a center for cybersecurity innovation.
