Egypt’s Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC) recently hosted its StartIT Startups Gathering event on October 13, 2025, bringing together key players from its ecosystem. The event served as a platform to welcome a new cohort of startups into its incubator, celebrate recent graduates, and foster connections within the community.

Welcoming the New Cohort

A central highlight of the gathering was the official introduction of the four startups joining the latest StartIT incubation cycle. The new cohort includes Estate Master, Khayal AI, Ovarc, and Maharat Tafl. TIEC expressed its commitment to supporting these early-stage companies as they begin their innovation and growth journeys within the program.

Celebrating Recent Graduates

The event also marked a significant milestone for four graduating startups, celebrating their successful completion of the incubation program. The graduates—VLaby, Zurqa, LRNOVA, and Viridi—were recognized for their progress and are now poised to scale their ventures further. The gathering provided a valuable opportunity for them to connect with investors and alumni.

Investor Insights and Networking

The agenda featured a “StartIT Power Panel” discussion focused on the investor perspective on funding, scaling, and market differentiation. The panel included prominent figures from the venture capital community: Karim Ali (Kenko Ventures), Karim Hemdan and Ahmed Fouad (VentureWeavers), and Hazem Hassanein (Significia Ventures). The event facilitated extensive networking between the new startups, recent graduates, program alumni, and investors, strengthening the collaborative spirit of Egypt’s tech ecosystem.
