Morocco’s Ministry of Digital Transition and Administration Reform has announced a strategic partnership with Keiretsu Forum MENA, one of the world’s most prominent angel investor networks. The agreement, signed in Rabat, marks a significant step in implementing the “Digital Morocco 2030” strategy, aimed at building a robust and integrated digital ecosystem to foster local innovation and attract international investment.
This collaboration is designed to provide Moroccan startups with unprecedented access to global capital and expertise, accelerating their growth and integration into the international market.
Forging Global Connections for Local Innovators
The core of the partnership focuses on creating direct channels between Moroccan startups and international investors. This will be achieved through a series of tangible measures, including professional networking events, direct introductions, and strategic advisory services.
Keiretsu Forum MENA will also provide post-investment support and regular mentorship programs to ensure the sustainable growth of the ventures it engages with. This hands-on approach aims to equip local entrepreneurs with the strategic guidance needed to scale their businesses effectively.
Establishing a Local Presence
A key commitment under the new agreement is Keiretsu Forum’s plan to establish a dedicated Moroccan chapter. This local branch will bring the network’s global resources closer to the country’s entrepreneurs, fostering a more dynamic investment landscape and encouraging the development of high-value-added projects within the Kingdom.
The initiative is notably led by Moroccan entrepreneurs, showcasing the capacity of national talent to attract world-class partnerships and investment opportunities to the country.
A Pillar of the Digital Morocco 2030 Strategy
This agreement is a cornerstone of a broader national movement led by the Ministry to champion innovative entrepreneurship. It complements existing government initiatives, including dedicated funding programs for startups, enhanced public support mechanisms, and substantial investments in developing digital skills among the youth.
By leveraging Keiretsu Forum’s extensive network of over 4,000 investors across 60 chapters worldwide, Morocco aims to significantly enhance its ecosystem’s access to both international funding and invaluable expertise.
