In a significant move to advance the UAE’s technological capabilities, Abu Dhabi-based AI and big data analytics firm Presight has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Abu Dhabi Aviation Group of Companies (ADA Group), the nation’s largest commercial helicopter operator. The partnership is set to accelerate the development of a next-generation, AI-driven aviation and Industry 4.0 ecosystem in the country.
The collaboration will focus on integrating artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, and sovereign data-management systems across ADA Group’s extensive aviation and industrial operations. This initiative aims to bolster operational efficiency, enhance fleet readiness, and directly support the UAE’s national objectives for greater technological self-reliance in critical sectors.
Building an Intelligent Digital Backbone
A core objective of the agreement is the joint development of a unified operational data fabric. This intelligent digital backbone will connect disparate systems—including aircraft, maintenance, logistics, production, and workforce management—into a single, cohesive platform.
This integration will unlock new capabilities such as predictive decision-making, digital-twin simulations for complex scenarios, and real-time asset monitoring. By leveraging explainable AI, the partnership expects to enhance safety-critical processes, improve aircraft availability, reduce unplanned downtime, and optimize supply chain performance.
Leadership on a Shared Vision
Leaders from both organizations highlighted the strategic importance of the collaboration in positioning the UAE at the forefront of aviation technology.
Thomas Pramotedham, CEO of Presight, commented, “The partnership reflects our shared commitment to building sovereign, advanced and safe AI capabilities that support the UAE’s digital transformation across strategic sectors. By combining our capabilities with their operational expertise, we can create the foundations for a more resilient, efficient and future-ready aviation ecosystem.”
Mahmood Alhay Alhameli, Group Chief Executive Officer of Abu Dhabi Aviation Group, added, “We are committed to integrating artificial intelligence, predictive analytics and sovereign data to maximize efficiencies across our operations. This partnership with Presight reflects our long-term ambition to build a secure, future-ready aviation ecosystem that strengthens national competitiveness and supports the UAE’s technology agenda.”
The agreement establishes a clear pathway toward a fully integrated, secure, and UAE-governed digital aviation infrastructure, creating a scalable model for advanced aviation innovation across the wider region.
