Nahdet El Mahrousa (NM), in partnership with GIZ, is calling for expert individual consultants and consulting firms to support the GreenShift Program’s Growth Acceleration and Funding Track. Selected advisors will provide technical guidance to established green scale-ups in Egypt, helping them validate investment plans and optimize operations.

Call for Consultants Overview

The GreenShift Growth program is designed to support 11–12 established green scale-ups operating in sectors such as solid waste management, agri-waste utilization, sustainable fashion, and recycling. The program provides these scale-ups with up to EGP 5,000,000 in non-equity funding to expand capacity and improve resource efficiency.

To ensure this funding is used effectively, NM seeks highly qualified consultants to deliver rigorous, evidence-driven technical advisory services. Consultants will work closely with the NM team to validate investment plans, ensuring proposed assets are feasible, cost-effective, and aligned with the company’s growth stage.

Scope of Work

Consultants will be expected to combine desk reviews, field visits, and technical analysis to deliver the following:

  • Comprehensive Needs Assessment: Conduct structured interviews and operational reviews to identify critical bottlenecks in production, supply chain, and environmental performance.
  • Investment & Asset Plan Validation: Assess the scale-ups’ plans for the EGP 5M funding allocation, reviewing procurement lists and technical specifications for machinery and technology.
  • Tailored Technical Consultations: Design and deliver practical advisory sessions to address identified gaps and support implementation.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: Only Egyptian applicants are eligible.
  • Individual Consultants: Must have a minimum of 15 years of experience in relevant areas such as the green economy, circular economy, waste management, or industrial production.
  • Consulting Firms: Must possess a multidisciplinary team with technical, operational, and environmental expertise, along with a demonstrated track record in industrial or scale-up assignments.
  • Expertise: Strong analytical skills and subject-matter expertise in production and operations are preferred.

Key Dates and Schedule

  • Start of Engagement: January 20, 2026
  • Completion of Assessments: February 20, 2026 (Needs and Asset Assessments)
  • Delivery of Consultations: February 20 – April 20, 2026
  • Final Report Submission: April 20, 2026
