Abu Dhabi-based Anghami has announced its financial results for the first half of 2025, revealing significant topline growth driven by its recent integration with OSN+ and a transformative partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery. The leading music and entertainment streaming platform in the MENA region showcased a 97% year-on-year revenue increase, reaching US$48.4 million for the six-month period.
OSN+ Integration Fuels Growth
The first half of the year was marked by major operational achievements for Anghami. The company’s paid subscriber base doubled to 3.54 million as of June 30, 2025, while its total registered users surpassed 120 million. This surge in subscribers was a direct result of the successful OSN+ platform integration, which saw subscription income rise to US$43 million.
However, the rapid expansion came at a cost. Increased investments in subscriber acquisition for OSN+ and other integration-related expenses impacted profitability, resulting in a net loss of US$37.1 million. The management team confirmed it is implementing measures to adjust its cost base and leverage the benefits of scaling the combined business.
Strategic Partnerships and Content Exclusivity
A key driver of Anghami’s strategy is its partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery, which made a strategic investment of US$57 million in OSN Streaming Ltd., Anghami’s majority owner. This deal reinforces Anghami’s content library, securing exclusive rights to HBO content, Max Originals, and other global entertainment hits for OSN+ subscribers across the MENA region.
The company also expanded its distribution network through new partnerships with Noon.com and PlayStation. Following the period’s end, Anghami secured a significant distribution agreement with Talabat, aiming to create new user acquisition channels and accelerate growth momentum into 2026.
Elie Habib, CEO of Anghami, commented on the results, stating, “H1 2025 revenue reached US$48.4 million, driven by subscription income rising to US$43 million following the OSN+ integration. On the operational side, we delivered 99.9% uptime and improved app store ratings from 3.8 to 4.6 stars.”
Habib added, “Warner Bros. Discovery’s US$57 million investment in OSN Streaming reinforces our partnership and keeps HBO, Max Originals, and global hits exclusive to OSN+ viewers across MENA. Looking ahead, our new collaboration with Talabat expands OSN+ distribution and positions us to accelerate subscriber growth through 2026 and beyond.”
