Web Summit Qatar has officially sold out its startup programme for the upcoming 2026 edition, signaling immense global interest in Doha’s burgeoning technology ecosystem. More than 1,600 startups from around the world have confirmed their participation, filling the allocation well ahead of the event.
The event, returning to Doha for its third edition, reinforces Qatar’s growing reputation as a key technology hub for the MENA region and beyond, underpinned by strategic investments in digital transformation and economic diversification.
Record-Breaking Demand Signals Ecosystem Strength
Organisers have confirmed that the main event floor at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center is also at full capacity. The unprecedented interest has attracted over 30,000 expected attendees from more than 120 countries, along with a powerful contingent of over 700 investors and 600 media representatives.
A Web Summit spokesperson highlighted that this demand reflects the critical role of startups in shaping the future of technology and solidifies the event’s status as a premier platform for the next generation of founders and investors to connect and drive progress.
Global Tech Giants Convene in Doha
The sell-out extends to major corporate partners, with industry leaders including IBM, TikTok, Microsoft, Huawei, Qatar Airways, and Snapchat securing their presence. This convergence of global tech giants, policymakers, and emerging entrepreneurs in Doha underscores the city’s capacity to host world-class innovation events.
Scheduled to run from February 1 to February 4, 2026, the summit will facilitate critical discussions on leveraging technology to solve pressing global issues such as financial inequality, healthcare accessibility, and climate change.
AI and Frontier Tech to Dominate Discussions
Artificial intelligence is set to take centre stage, with a dedicated track exploring its development, funding, and practical application across various industries. Sessions will also delve into how AI is fundamentally reshaping content creation, distribution, and consumption.
