Riffa Views International School (RVIS), in a significant collaboration with the MIT Science and Technology Initiatives Program (MISTI), has announced the launch of its fourth annual Robotics Program workshops. The initiative brings together 150 high school students from 38 public and private schools, marking it as a cornerstone event for youth technology education in the Gulf region.

Fostering Regional Tech Talent

Hosted at the RVIS Innovation Hub, the program stands as the first global initiative of its kind delivered by MIT in the Gulf, building on the success of its previous editions. The workshops aim to empower the next generation of innovators by providing direct engagement with instructors from the Massachusetts Institute of of Technology (MIT) in an advanced, interactive learning environment.

A Curriculum for the Future

Running until January 29, 2026, this year’s program features five specialized tracks designed to merge engineering, artificial intelligence, and future technologies. The tracks include Industrial Robotic Arm, AI Vision Quest, and Electric Car Engineering, alongside two intensive programs in AI in Marketing and Content Creation and the AI Creators Lab.

The curriculum emphasizes project-based learning, allowing students to gain practical, hands-on experience in robotics, automation, computer vision, and sustainable energy. The core objective is to equip students with skills in innovative thinking, teamwork, and readiness for future academic and professional careers in advanced technology.

A Commitment to Applied Learning

Mr. Michael Donaldson, Head of Riffa Views International School, highlighted the school’s dedication to impactful educational initiatives.

“Initiatives such as the MISTI programs reflect the school’s dedication to delivering advanced educational experiences that extend beyond traditional learning models and contribute to building an innovative generation capable of keeping pace with rapid developments in technology and artificial intelligence,” said Donaldson. He added that RVIS will continue to build strategic partnerships that support applied learning and connect students with global opportunities.
