The event, organized by the Entrepreneurship Center at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport (AASTMT) in partnership with the National Bank of Egypt, brought together teams from 40 Egyptian universities in Port Said.

The university’s participation underscores its strategic commitment to fostering innovation and embedding an entrepreneurial culture among its student body, aligning with Egypt’s Vision 2030 for sustainable development.

Fostering Innovation Through Strategic Participation

The delegation from Kafrelsheikh University, comprising eight students from various faculties, was supported by the university’s highest leadership, including Dr. Yahya Eid, President of the University, and Dr. Ismail Ismail Ibrahim, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research. The team was supervised by Dr. Mohamed Shousha, who serves as the Principal Investigator at the Entrepreneurship Club and Director of the University-Industry Linkage Center.

This integrated approach, combining academic supervision with student-led innovation activities, has proven to be a successful model for nurturing promising talent.

Intensive Training With Global Expertise

The bootcamp provided an intensive, specialized training program featuring a distinguished lineup of Arab and international trainers and speakers. The curriculum included hands-on workshops and mentorship sessions focused on developing core entrepreneurial skills, building robust business models, conducting market analysis, and transforming innovative ideas into sustainable, competitive ventures.

Dr. Yahya Eid, President of Kafrelsheikh University, expressed his pride in the students’ achievements, stating, “The university pays great attention to supporting entrepreneurship and innovation as one of the main engines of sustainable development. We are keen to empower students with the tools of the future, encouraging them to be creative and entrepreneurial, which contributes to preparing graduates capable of competing in the job market locally, regionally, and internationally.”
He added that the results reflect the high scientific and skill level of the students and the effective role played by the university’s Entrepreneurship Club and University-Industry Linkage Center.

A Track Record Of Entrepreneurial Excellence

The bootcamp culminated in significant recognition for the Kafrelsheikh team. The students secured support from the Youth Employment and Innovation Project (YEIP) for their innovative project ideas. Additionally, three students earned advanced, well-deserved rankings in specialized diplomas offered by the AASTMT.

This success builds on a strong foundation, as the university’s entrepreneurship team had previously won first place in the Rally Egypt for Entrepreneurship competition for 2024, confirming their consistent ability to excel in high-level entrepreneurial programs.
