The Dubai Business Women Council (DBWC) has outlined its strategic priorities and key initiatives for 2026, reaffirming its commitment to supporting women entrepreneurs and professionals through education, mentorship, and access to new opportunities. The new roadmap focuses on critical areas including artificial intelligence, workforce reintegration, and international engagement.
A Focus on Future-Ready Skills
As part of its 2026 programme, DBWC will launch several initiatives aimed at skills development and business growth. A key highlight is sAIdaty 3.0, the latest phase of the Council’s artificial intelligence training programme delivered in collaboration with Oracle, designed to equip members with practical AI knowledge for the modern business landscape.
The Council will also introduce Business in Action by Odoo, a year-long initiative providing industry-focused sessions on technology, healthcare, finance, and other key sectors. In partnership with Canon Middle East, the third cohort of Women Who Empower will offer workshops on content creation, photography, and videography.
Additionally, DBWC has opened applications for the seventh cycle of its Mentorship Programme, scheduled to run from March to June 2026.
Supporting Workforce Reintegration
In response to a growing need, DBWC is introducing a new Back-to-Work Programme. Running from April to July, the initiative will feature workshops, training sessions, and panel discussions with government and private sector representatives. The programme is specifically designed to support women who are returning to the job market after extended career breaks.
Expanding International Engagement
The Council’s 2026 agenda includes significant international activities. DBWC will lead a delegation to the Dubai Business Forum (DBF) 2026 in Shenzhen, China, to introduce the Chinese business community to opportunities under the Dubai Economic Agenda.
In May 2026, DBWC will also host the 25th Anniversary Celebration of the Arab International Women’s Forum (AIWF) at its premises, convening regional and international leaders to celebrate the forum’s contributions to advancing women’s leadership.
Governance and Membership Updates
DBWC has strengthened its leadership by formally introducing two new Board Members, Eman Al Suwaidi and Rafia Al Abbar. The 2026 Board will be led by Founder and President H.E. Dr. Raja Al Gurg and Vice President Mrs. Faiza Al Sayed.
The Council also announced its first membership fee revision in 23 years, setting the annual fee at AED 1,500, effective 2026. This adjustment aims to ensure the continued delivery of impactful programmes while staying aligned with its founding mission.
