Egyptian EdTech startup Sprints, a platform specializing in training and connecting tech talent with global job markets, is preparing to close a new funding round within the next two months. The round involves participation from both regional and international investors.
In a statement to Fintech Gate, Ayman Bazraa, CEO and Founder of Sprints, confirmed the upcoming multi-million dollar investment, noting that the exact value will be disclosed upon the round’s completion.
Securing a Multi-Million Dollar Round
The anticipated funding round underscores strong investor confidence in Sprints’ unique business model, which integrates AI-powered technical education with international recruitment. Bazraa highlighted that the company has successfully built a robust base of learners and strategic partners, significantly enhancing its investment appeal.
Proceeds from the round will be allocated to developing the platform’s technological infrastructure and enhancing its international employment ecosystem. This system enables companies in the United States, Europe, and the Gulf to efficiently manage tech talent from Egypt and Africa, facilitating performance tracking and the formation of specialized teams tailored to client needs.
AI-Powered Talent Development
Sprints leverages artificial intelligence as a cornerstone of its platform. The technology is used to assess learner skills through smart analysis systems that power digital tests and interviews, generating detailed reports that pinpoint skill gaps with precision.
Furthermore, the company employs AI to build personalized learning paths for each trainee, focusing on addressing individual weaknesses rather than providing generic content. Smart matching algorithms are then used to connect qualified talent with suitable job opportunities, aligning with employer requirements. The use of AI extends to reviewing educational content, enhancing user experience, and assembling integrated remote teams for international clients.
Strategic Expansion Across MENA and Beyond
Sprints aims to solidify its presence in the promising Egyptian market, leveraging its large youth population and significant growth potential in the technology sector. The company sees a substantial opportunity in investing in digital skills development to meet the rising local and international demand for qualified professionals.
The expansion strategy also includes entering key regional and international markets. For its educational offerings, Sprints is targeting high-growth African and Middle Eastern markets, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Nigeria, and Kenya. Simultaneously, the company will bolster its presence in the American, European, and Gulf markets on the recruitment front, exporting skilled tech talent from the MENA region to the world.
To date, over 80,000 learners have completed programs on the platform from a pool of more than 100,000 registered users. Sprints aims to triple its number of learners annually, with a target of reaching a quarter-million learners this year.
New Platforms and Services on the Horizon
Looking ahead, Sprints is preparing to launch a suite of new services. A key initiative is a new platform that will allow experts and specialists to create and sell their own training courses. All content will undergo a rigorous AI-powered review process and a user-based rating system to ensure high-quality, accredited courses are highlighted.
The company is also developing advanced international recruitment management tools. These will empower companies to manage remote teams more effectively by tracking performance, monitoring work hours, and assembling specialized teams based on specific project needs.
