StartUp Bahrain, the national platform for the Kingdom’s startup ecosystem, has announced updated dates for its highly anticipated University of Bahrain program. Now scheduled to take place from April 13-18, 2026, the initiative is powered by Tamkeen Bahrain and forms a cornerstone of a strategic collaboration between the university and the national startup hub. The program is designed to identify and nurture the next generation of Bahraini tech talent, transitioning students from academic theory to high-stakes entrepreneurial execution.

Cultivating Entrepreneurship Through Intensive Mentorship

The six-day intensive program offers a hands-on curriculum tailored for final-year students from the College of Business Administration and the College of Information Technology. Participants will engage in workshops, pitch practice sessions, and keynote addresses from leading industry figures. A key feature of the initiative is the direct access to mentorship, where subject-matter experts and established entrepreneurs guide student teams through the complexities of business modeling and product development, preparing them for the realities of the MENA tech landscape.

A Pipeline for Regional Tech Talent

This collaboration serves as a vital pipeline for the Bahraini startup ecosystem, encouraging interdisciplinary teamwork by allowing students from various colleges to join forces in teams of four to six. The program culminates in a high-profile demo day and final pitch competition, where winners will be awarded cash prizes, professional perks, and certificates from the University of Bahrain and StartUp Bahrain. By fostering this early-stage innovation, the initiative aligns with the Kingdom’s goal of becoming a regional leader in digital transformation and venture creation.
